James Suckling writes "A lovely nose of graphite, crushed stone, blackcurrants and blackberries. Medium- to full-bodied with silky, slightly chewy tannins. Succulent and vibrant on the palate with generous length and an evolving savory character. Transparent and clear. Delicious. A blend of merlot, cabernet sauvignon, cabernet franc and malbec."
The winery writes "Impenetrable colour, the aroma is an explosion of dark damson plum, 10 spice, black olive, black liquorice and sandalwood notes. There is mouth filling richness on the palate with dark plum, Christmas cake and savoury, meaty complexity. The tannins are very fine grained with a soft, chalky quality providing beautifully balanced length."
