Another showstopper from the award winning team at Vidal Wines. This is a study in premium Hawkes Bay Syrah produced from the Omahu and Twyford Gravels that has completed malolactic fermentation in French oak barrels. Look for fragrant spice, red berry and floral notes amongst a finely textured, refreshing palate.
This syrah is a particularly food friendly wine - match with venison venison, beef or hard cheeses for a memorable combo.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "Ripe, fresh, fruity, varietal and enticing bouquet of dark cherry and raspberry flesh, some delicate scents of earth and stone and moderate woodsmoke and baking spices of clove and vanilla. Taut, firm and dry with tannins and acidity setting the foundation with dark fruit flavours that mirror the bouquet."
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "It's beautifully fruited and fragrant on the nose with Black Doris plum, sweet cherry, mixed spice and toasted nut aromas with a touch of cracked pepper. The succulent palate delivers excellent weight and plump mouthfeel, delightfully supported by fine polished tannins, finishing long and silky."
