FIVE STARS 95/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
95 POINTS | Cameron Douglas MS
Beautifully presented and packed in flat cellar six packs, this exciting release is a beautiful expression of fine Hawkes Bay Chardonnay. Floral and aromatically intriguing. The palate is full and soft, rich and rounded. A star is born.
The winery writes "Medium straw appearance. The aroma is a medley of nectarine, peach, apple blossom, with hints of almond and nutty richness. These aromas flow onto the richly textured palate that displays summer stone-fruit notes with hints of almond and a bright citrus finish that lingers and refreshes."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Intriguing and complex, fine lees and pure fruit aromas lead to flavours of the same on the palate. A core of grapefruit and peach, lees and gun-flinty mineral laden soil flavours. Fine fruit tannins and delicate mealy seamless mouthfeel. A fantastic expression that doesn’t need oak to show its purity and innocence."
Sam Kim writes "Exquisitely refined and elegantly complex, the wine shows apricot, grapefruit, oatmeal and cashew notes on the nose, leading to a concentrated palate displaying outstanding depth and focus. It's seamlessly flowing, backed by bright acidity, finishing impressively long and textured."
