93/100, FOUR STARS & Awarded No.1 Top Red | Bob Campbell MW
FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
92/100 | Cameron Douglas MS
Twenty years ago Tohu established the world's first Maori-owned wine business and have been producing award winning wines ever since. This trophy-winning Awatere Valley Pinot Noir is no exception - it's elegant and smooth with a line of silky tannins with plenty of bright cherry and red berries notes balanced by careful use of French oak. Unreal value with the Advintage Advantage.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Wonderfully ripe and inviting, the bouquet shows dark plum, sweet cherry, rich floral, toasted nut and mixed spice aromas, followed by a succulent palate offering excellent weight and silky flow. Delightfully framed by fine-grained tannins, finishing long and supple."
The winery writes "A deep ruby red hue in the glass, this complex yet elegantly structured Pinot Noir displays dark berryfruit and earthy aromas on the nose. On the palate concentrated flavours of ripe plum and juicy cherry are supported by notes of crushed dried herbs and integrated smoky French oak. Finely balanced with soft, silky tannins, this delightfully enticing wine leads to a long, lingering and mouth-filling finish."
