Cameron Douglas MS writes "An unmistakable bouquet of Central Otago with aromas of black cherry and plum, there’s a savoury thyme and mineral quality then scents of oak, crumbled rocks, fresh air and roses. A lighter weighted wine touches the palate then a burst of red berry fruit and spice flavours with a savoury edge. Polished tannins and a youthful acid line all add up to a delicious dry wine centering on variety and finish."

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "This is immediately appealing on the nose with sweet cherry, floral, clove, almond and dried mushroom aromas. The palate is equally attractive with supple texture and juicy fruit flavours, finishing long and silky. Harmonious and soothing, making it delightfully drinkable."

The winery writes "Savory and earthy with bright red cherries, raspberries, and a hint of cinnamon spice. The juicy palate flows through to a fruit-driven core of crunchy red currants, dried cranberries, black olive, and suggestions of toasted coconut. A pinot noir with round tannins, good balance, and finesse."
