A SINGLE BLOCK MASTERPIECE - RICH, SEDUCTIVE AND EXPRESSIVE
FIVE STARS 96/100 | Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review
Crafted from one of the oldest and most distinguished sites on the Terra Sancta estate, the Jackson’s Block Pinot Noir 2017 is a quintessential expression of single vineyard philosophy.
In 2017, the old vines of Jackson’s Block yielded a wine of remarkable depth and sophistication. From the first swirl, the nose is entrancing: clove, cedar, and wild dark cherry rise alongside subtle hints of spice. On the palate, it’s all about decadent richness and layered complexity — a luxurious fusion of Black Doris plum, licorice, crushed spice, and ripe cherry glide across the tongue with silken finesse. Fine tannins provide structure without weight, giving this Pinot a polished, seamless finish that lingers with elegance.

The winery writes "The 2017 vintage is a very special expression of Jackson’s Block. The old vines have delivered richly fruited decadence; a complex nose of cloves, cedar, dark cherry and bold, concentrated flavours. Luxurious layers of black doris plum, licorice, dark cherry and crushed spices dance across the palate. With fine tannins and a perfectly balanced finish, Jackson’s 2017 is a classic - a sensuous, sophisticated wine."
Bob Campbell MW writes "Elegant, silken-textured pinot noir with plum, dark cherry, nut and spice flavours. A seamless, sophisticated wine that boasts a perfect balance of fruit-and-alcohol sweetness and fine tannins."
