Shed 530 Estate was hit hard by Cyclone Gabrielle, with the historic site closed for nearly a year as the team undertook the massive job of rebuilding. Thanks to sheer grit and determination, the cellar door reopened in December 2024, and this wine stands as a beautiful reminder of what resilience and hard work can achieve.
'Mutu' is Shed 530's flagship range, and this excellent 2021 chardonnay is has got it all going on. A touch of reduction on the nose leads to a soft and rich palate bursting with citrus undertones. A captvating wine that finishes strong and seamless.

Decanter judges write "Opulent ripe peach, grilled lemon and grapefruit notes with an underlying cashew nut quality. Silky and pure with a lustrous, buttery texture and bright seam of oyster shell acidity. Long and delicious with a saline finish."
