90/100 | Stephen Wong MW, The Real Review
Wonderful syrah from a true Hawke's Bay icon. Sacred Hill are recognised as one of New Zealand's most presitgious and awarded wineries.
With a palate full of dark fruit flavours and a hint of baking spice, this 2023 release is succulent, seductive and a gorgeous expression of Hawke's Bay Syrah.

Stephen Wong MW writes "Purple-coloured. Ripe blackberry, plum and chocolate adorn this plush and oaky wine. The charming, juicy flavours are currently smothered under quite grippy and tough tannins with rather chunky wood which should settle down in a year or two. A traditionally built syrah for the near- to mid-term, refreshed by a twist of tangy acidity and just a hint of herbaceousness suggesting a cooler climate."
