Pasqua have long been one of our favourite larger Italian producers. The BL Amarone Della Valpolicella DOCG 2018 has been produced to perfection using a unique technique known as "appassimento" where the grapes are left to air-dry for approximately three months, then aged in small barrels. The result is an extraordinary full-bodied red full of intense cherry, plum and dark chocolate characters at its core, followed by a nutty finish. A must try for fans of complex, interesting reds.
The winery writes "Intense red color, the nose is broad, with strong aromas of red fruits and a balsamic note. In the mouth it is balanced thanks to the soft tannins."
