90/100 | James Suckling
Beautifully packaged - complete with a slick glass stoppered bottle - this excellent rosé has been vinted in a succulent, just off-dry style from corvina, trebbiano di lugana, syrah and carménère. It's loaded with red summer fruit flavours with juicy citrus adding a freshness and bite. The palate shows good weight and texture with spicy strawberry notes lingering on the finish
As a side note, 11 minutes refers to the amount of time that the wine was left on skins to produce the lovely light salmon colour. How cool is that!
Vinted from a blend of corvina 50%, trebbiano di lugana 25%, syrah 15%, carménère 10%.
The winery writes "A fine blend created from the most noble native varietals like Corvina and Trebbiano of Lugana and varietals like Syrah and Carménère. The Corvina varietal, which dominates in terms of percentage, was chosen for the floral aromas as well as the significant acidity it gives to the wine. Trebbiano brings elegance and a long finish; Syrah gives fine fruit and spice notes to the glass and finally, Carménère creates structure, ensuring stability over time. This a fresh, enveloping rosé with an intense and complex bouquet, created to accompany spring or summer evenings and more"
90/100 James Suckling "A pleasant, floral rosé with orangey fruit and blossoms. Medium-bodied with a taut palate and a mild phenolic pull that keeps everything in order. Nice and tight. Glass stopper."
