This excellent GSM blend is produced by Norrel Robertson MW and brought into New Zealand by another MW, gifted importer Steve Bennett. Always a sure-fire hit with the Advintage Faithful, Papa Luna showcases the dark juicy fruits of Spanish Grenache and the magic that happens when high quality syrah and mazuelo are brought into the blend.
We like to think of it like a Spanish version of Chateauneuf du Pape and it's about as plush and opulent as Spanish wine gets in this price band. It's a perfect example of immediately enjoyable, but ultimately very satisfying modern Spanish red wine. It comes very highly recommended.

The winery writes "Deep purple with ruby red rim. Lifted aromas of raspberry and black cherry fruit with complex notes of pepper and mountain herbs. Full-bodied with smooth tannins and soft acidity. Mouthfilling with dense black fruit and a long smoky finish."
