There's no doubt that Neudorf feature amongst the country's finest chardonnay producers and their wines consistently receive high praise from top international critics. The Rosie's Block Chardonnay is a sibling to the keystone in Neudorf's portfolio, the Home Block Moutere Chardonnay.
Named after Tim and Judy’s daughter, the Rosie block sits on a slightly higher elevation to the Home Block just 1km away. This fabulous chardonnay is harmonious, sophisticatd and complex. A real treat.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "Fabulous bouquet, complex and textured with shape and form. Aromas and flavours of wild peaches, gun flint and grapefruit flesh. The combination of mineral stony soils and spices from barrel layer in texture and complexity accentuated by a classic Nelson acid line. Satin mooth with layers of contrast from fine tannins, acidity, core white fleshed fruits laced with citrus, and texture. Best drinking from later in 2023 through 2027+."
Joelle Thomson writes "This classic, fresh, full-bodied, flinty and flavoursome Chardonnay is made from grapes grown on Rosie's vineyard, which was named after the daughter of Neudorf founders Tim and Judy Finn. Rosie's vineyard was planted in 1999 and is a dry farmed, certified organic vineyard site. All the grapes were hand-picked, whole bunch pressed and fermented with wild yeasts in barrels for 10 months, which included a mix of 33% one year old oak barrels and remainder older oak. Lees ageing has built flavour and structure into the wine, which was bottled unfined and unfiltered."
The winery writes "Contemporary, mineral, concentrated and complex. An integrated, racy and dynamic Chardonnay. Gentle use of oak frames the wine - this harmony of barrel, fruit and flint is reassuringly familiar. A timeless, sophisticated chardonnay."
