FIVE STARS 95/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
93/100 'Excellent' | Cameron Douglas MS
There is some seriously impressive chenin blanc coming out of Gisborne these days but this one takes the cake. Wonderfully floral with an underlying citrus zesty characters, this wine is sure to please the most discerning of palates. Off dry and truly delectable wine. A massive staff favourite.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Gorgeously styled and expressed, it's beautifully fruited and elegantly expressed on the nose, showing golden apple, rockmelon, fig, and lemon zest aromas. The palate delivers succulent fruit intensity, fleshy texture, and finely pitched acidity, finishing persistent and mouthwatering. At its best: now to 2031."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "An excellent expression showcasing the voice of Matawhero’s style of power and purity of fruit whilst speaking flavours of crisp red and sore apples, pear and a fine leesy citrus layer. High acidity frames the core flavours of tree fruit and lees leading to a mineral quality. Taut and just dry on the finish with a tickle of residual sweetness offering contrast. Best drinking from late 2026 through 2032+."
