A new interpretation of a classic. Matawhero winemaking legend Dennis Irwin pioneered the first plantings of gewürztraminer in New Zealand, and we're loving this latest vintage of a famous Gisborne wine.
Now produced by Richard and Kirsten Searle, this is lush and concentrated gewürz with layers of spicy, exotic fruit flavours and classic Turkish Delight complexity. The sheer joy and exuberance of a good glass of Gewürztraminer cannot be denied and this new release comes highly recommended. Enjoy on its own in the sun or with lightly spicy foods.
Cheers, Dennis!

The wine opens with sweet jasmine on the nose, complemented by aromas of lychee and delicate honeysuckle. On the palate, it shows a clean, fruit-driven character that is rich and full-bodied. Flavours of lychee, Turkish delight, gentle spice and a hint of ginger unfold in layers, creating a broad and persistent finish.
