FIVE STARS 94/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
93/100 | Cameron Douglas MS
There is some seriously impressive chenin blanc coming out of Gisborne these days but this one takes the cake. Wonderfully floral with an underlying citrus zesty characters, this wine is sure to please the most discerning of palates. Off dry and truly delectable wine. A massive staff favourite.
Vegetarian and Vegan friendly.
The winery writes "This gorgeous French variety grows well in our Gisborne climate. With citrus, stonefruit and honeysuckle flavours it has a bright acidity and lovely texture."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Clean, precise, fruity and varietal with a bouquet and palate of fresh and baked apple, moments of wet wool then flowers and a flinty mineral and clay quality. Lovely polish and silky texture as the wine touches the palate then flavours of apples and citrus emerge along with a flint and soil complexity."
Sam Kim writes "Varietally pure and elegantly complex, the bouquet shows golden apple, apricot, fig and floral aromas with a hint of spicy overtone. The palate delivers excellent weight and fruit richness, while remaining structured and poised. Beautifully textured and lingering with delectable flavours."
