Margrain have a long history of working with chenin blanc, and they have nailed the 'Margrain style' with this tangy 2022 release. Fresh and zingy on the attack, it softens in the mid-palate when some sweeter green apple and riper citrus notes join the conversation. Those immediately attractive, juicier notes broaden out the flavour base and, in our book, this is a text book example of modern New Zealand, off dry chenin blanc. Recommended.
