Named after winemaker Dave Mackintosh's great grandmother, Annabella Mackenzie, Kenzie Wines is a celebration of contemporary winemaking. After fifteen years crafting acclaimed wines in Victoria’s Yarra Valley under the Arfion and Salo labels, Dave felt the pull of home, returning to Aotearoa to create distinctive, modern wines from the expressive soils of Hawke’s Bay.
Little Dreamer is the result of winemaker Dave finally bringing a long-held idea to life, crafting a sauvignon blanc with real texture, depth and personality. A little skin contact and barrel fermentation add layers of complexity while keeping the variety’s trademark freshness front and centre. There’s a vibrant mix of green apple, chamomile, pink grapefruit and lime zest on the nose, leading into a crisp, pure and beautifully textural palate with subtle flinty, mineral notes and a bright, mouth-watering finish.

The winery writes "Green apple, chamomile, pink grapefruit and lime zest are followed by flint and mineral like flavours. A pure, crystalline and textural palate, the barrel ferment has added great complexity and length. This wine is dry and crisp with a crunchy, popping acid line."
