As part of a label re-vamp, Framingham Wines in Marlborough introduced the ‘Nobody’s Hero’ range to reflect the company’s involvement with music, as expressed by the annual Framingham Harvest Concert. The label was introduced at the end of last year as a "salute to the rebels, the radical, the offbeat and the underground”, whose music and culture features in the concert.
This is lovely crisp Pinot Gris with fleshy ripe fruit flavours in the mouth that are balanced with fresh citrus and some mineral notes. Delicious wine.
Framingham is donating 10c from every bottle sold in New Zealand to New Zealand MusicHelps, a charity that uses the power of music to change the lives of people experiencing hardship and illness. Initiatives include financial assistance, healthcare programs and music-based community projects.
The winery writes "An instant hit, our Pinot Gris kicks off with ripe and rich stone fruit notes, layers of baked apple, and juicy quince harmonies. The outro leaves you with a bold mouth-filling texture and a crowd-pleasing mineral finish."
