93/100 'Excellent' | Cameron Douglas MS
Albarino is the famous white grape of north west Spain and an up and coming alternate option for New Zealand white wine drinkers. This 'excellent' winning example is very bright and fresh with an array of tangy tropical fruits on show, underpinned with a layer of racy acidity and some classic saline notes. Very tasty indeed - and a wonderful option for fans of dry riesling or sauvignon blanc to try.

The winery writes "This is a full and rich wine with crisp acidity providing length and deliciousness. Its flavours tend toward preserved lemons, pear, apple, apricot and tropical fruits. It is delicious as a young wine but will gain further complexity with time in the bottle. It is an ideal accompaniment to seafood dishes."
