These days his focus is on Easthope Winegrowers where he makes small parcel wines of the very highest calibre. The ethos behind Easthope's wines is to put the work in to the vineyard and let the quality of fruit speak for itself - and they have more than achieved that goal. 

Beautifully pure, linear and feminine in style, this syrah seduces you with violets, black and white pepper and smoked herbs on the nose. The palate is effortlessly long with no heaviness and layer after layer of savoury dark fruits in a textbook showcase of the modern Hawke's Bay style.
