96 POINTS 'Outstanding' | Cameron Douglas MS
'Le Sol’, French for ‘the soil’, is born of the renowned Gimblett Gravels viticultural appellation. It's only produced in the very best vintages and from the stoniest parts of the vineyard.
Rich, evocative and refined, Le Sol represents the pinnacle of New Zealand winemaking and is a truly worthwile investment for any collector of premium wines. Truly exceptional.
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Amazing colour with an equally amazing bouquet, really lovely perfume with a raspberry cherry bouquet then oak layers with an amyl-nitrite moment. Taut, ripe, juicy, fleshy and with power at the core. Delicious, fresh and complex. This is a fantastic wine. Firm tannins, backbone of acidity and a lengthy energised finish. Lovely finish. Very young, will be amazing."
