Church Block takes it name from the original vineyards across the road from Wirra Wirra’s century old ironstone cellars. Over four decades, the Church Block label has become an Australian favourite - consistently offering a smooth, soft red wine that balances the complexity sought by aficionados, with the approachability desired by those seeking pure drinking pleasure.

This blend of Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz and Mourvèdre shows the Cab more than any other variety. It leads with aromas of red berries, mocha, ground pepper, graphite and an herbal savory streak. Those Cab-like graphite and leafy notes follow through to the palate, which is soft and rounded in texture with herb-flecked tannins and a bit of a bitter finish.
James Halliday's Wine Companion writes "The Wirra Wirra worker bee, this does what Church Block typically does: deliver ample flavour and fruit plushness but with a measure of structure and freshness that makes it a great allrounder, a friend to many foods and weighted to invite a second glass."
