Clay Creek Vineyards is a family-owned winery who have been producing wine in California since 1924. We were introduced to their chardonnay last year and fell hard for it so getting their cab sauv in was a no brainer.
This wine is not for the faint-hearted. It's a big, dark dense glass of wine with flavours in the black fruit spectrum and hints of clove and spice. Firm tannins match the bold flavours and create a glass of wine with plenty of body and texture. Pair it with a red meat dish and watch the magic unfold.

The winery writes "This cabernet sauvignon bursts with aromas of peppercorn, blackberry and black cherry that mingle with subtle nuances of violet and charred oak. The palate is dominated by intense flavours of dark fruits, blackcurrant, clove and spice. This dark and dense wine boasts bold tannin structure leading to a generous finish."
