Three GOLD MEDALS and a massive 95pts at the International Wine Challenge speaks volumes of the quality on offer here, and one taste of Vieille Mule will confirm that there is something really good in your glass. 

This old vine red comes from the Côtes Catalanes in France’s Languedoc-Roussillon region - where by all accounts, mules are held in very high regard! It's produced from 100% grenache by well-known vintner Jeff Carrel, and in our book, this 2020 release is 100% delicious. There's plenty of dark fruit flavours flooding the palate - including cherries and blackcurrants, with obvious spice characters adding some lovely complexity.  Just like the mule, this grenache is destined for a long lifespan, and there's at least 5-10 years of ageing potential here. Superb buying - and a wonderful partner for drinks platter or casual mediterranean meal.
