Under the watchful eyes of Bruce and Anna Barabara Helliwell, Unison Selection was considered by many commentators to be the pinnacle of Hawke's Bay blended red wine from the late 1990's through to the mid 2000's
This wine comes from a private cellar that we purchased in 2023. It has been stored correctly and we can vouch for it's cellar provenance. We have no reason to think that this wine will not be in perfect condition when you open it but, please note that because we were not the original purchaser of this wine, our usual ‘no questions asked’ guarantee does not apply and we are unable to replace or refund your purchase should the wine be faulty in any way.
Tasting Notes
Medium depth ruby red with clear edge. Stylish, mature red fruit-based nose with hints of vanilla and violets. Palate is a mix of stylish, mature red fruit, gentle acidity and soft tannins followed by a lengthy, fruity finish. Excellent balance with cab//merlot character plus some syrah bite.
