The winery writes "Scents of white peach, ripe grapefruit, and citrus blossom combine with toasty/nutty oak aromas to produce a complex and engaging bouquet. The wine is rich and concentrated in the mouth yet remains focused and composed with outstanding persistence and length of flavour. Stone fruit, citrus, and toasty oak flavours, gently drying phenolics and a fine backbone of acidity combine effortlessly to produce a seamless, harmonious palate with a mouthwatering finish. A fabulous wine of exquisite balance, poise and tension that encapsulates what great Chardonnay is all about."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Fabulous bouquet, new, ripe, fresh and complex. Aromas and flavours of ripe fleshy stone fruits, grapefruit and red delicious apple flesh. Barrel and wood spices add complexity and structure with tannins and acidity wrapping around the core fruit flavours. A silky texture with a fine gun-flint quality, some stony earthy qualities and long detailed finish. Fantastic wine and a great example from Hawkes Bay. Best drinking from 2023 through 2029."
