92/100 'Premium' | Cameron Douglas MS
91/100 | Candice Wine Chat
90/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
An excellent example of Hawke's Bay Pinot Gris from this iconic producer. It's rich and textural with flavours in the pear and citrus spectrum and a hint of spice on the finish.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "A sophisticated expression of Gris with layers of fruit and spice scents, a sense of site and specific style. Aromas and flavours of Baked yellow apple and green pears, a layer of lees ads complexity and on the palate - breadth and texture. A satin-cream touch on the palate with a nice acid line for contrast, the flavours of pomaceous fruits, mandarin and lemon peel. Balanced and well made in a ready to drink expression. Best from 2024 through 2027."
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Youthfully charming and elegantly fragrant, the bouquet shows apricot, crunchy apple, green pear and subtle spice aromas. The palate delivers juicy fruit flavours with supple texture and bright acidity, finishing lingering and refreshing. At its best: now to 2025."
The winery writes "Ripe Nashi pears are complemented by exotic aromas of sweet spices (think cinnamon, cloves, nutmeg), rose water and spicy glacè ginger. The wine is rich and opulent in the mouth with a soft, mouthcoating texture balanced by refreshing acidity. Excellent persistence of flavour, and a lingering spicy finish, ensure the wine is satisfying either on its own, or partnered with a wide range of foods, particularly Asian-inspired dishes."
