Starborough must now be considered one of our finest pinot gris producers and this is a sublime, off-dry expression that delivers a textbook example of this enticing varietal. Every year this release seems to get better and better and the 2025 is in banging form with layer after layer of tangy pear and ripe stone fruit flavours. Very highly recommended.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Beautifully fruited and elegantly fragrant, showing apricot, rockmelon, Nashi pear, and lemon peel aromas on the nose, leading to a succulent palate that's rounded and supple. Wonderfully framed by silky texture and refreshing acidity, offering terrific drinking."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Aromas and flavours of green pear and apple, there’s some lees and cider apple ideas, then a lager beer and lees quality. A nicely rounded texture touches the palate with contrasting acidity, spice and freshness follow. Balanced and well made with best drinking from 2025 through early 2027."
Candice Chow writes "Bright, even, pale straw yellow. The nose is gently full, with aromas of ripe apple, quince, honeysuckle and dusty spice. Medium-full bodied, packed with aromas of ripe apple, quince, followed by honeysuckle and grounded ginger. Flavour is rich with excellent intensity, accompanied by lively acidity, carrying along a fine-textured palate to a dry, spiced finish. Match with pork satay and grilled fish over the next 3 years."

Great drop
Lovely off dry Pinot Gris. Better than the previous vintage in my opinion.
