A dry wine touches the palate with an impact as bold as the bouquet suggested. Flavours of blackberry and spicy black plums, more dark chocolate, licorice and some peppery spice qualities. The nose is full, with aromas of blackberry, black plum, cocoa nips and spice. Full-bodied, aromas of blackberry and plum melded with cocoa nips and nutmeg. The fruit is ripe and succulent, enriched by smooth, rich tannins and linger to a moderately long finish. This Malbec is generous and well-made. Match with steak and chilli con carne over the next 3 years. 100% Malbec from Mendoza’s East Valley and Uco Valley, fermented in stainless steel to 13.5% alc, aged 6 months in French oak."
