1.5L OF SMOOTH AUSTRALIAN SHIRAZ
92/100 | Huon Hooke, The Real Review
This is gloriously plush Barossa Shiraz - and one of the smoothest premium Australian wines you will ever see.
Sons of Eden co-owners, Corey Ryan ( who “cut his teeth” as winemaker at Henschke for 10 years) winemaker and Simon Cowham (ex-viticulturist Yalumba) can do no wrong! This spectacular Old Vine shiraz from 60 to 80 year old vineyards in the Barossa Valley has had 20 months in predominantly new American and French oak. A wine that is powerful, concentrated, intense and yet smooth.

The winery writes "Deep garnet in colour, displaying seductive aromas of ripe cherries, plums and redlicorice. A richly concentrated and powerful palate, with framing tannins, finishing with excellent balance and length. The 2019 vintage was an outstanding year for old vine Barossa Valley Shiraz, the low yields have ensured a wine that will mature well for many years to come."
