96/100 'Outstanding' | Huon Hooke, The Real Review
94/100 | Campbell Mattinson, Halliday's Wine Companion
93/100 | Gary Walsh, The Wine Front
An iconic Barossa Shiraz. This is always such a charismatic wine. The story here is all about the relationship between old school Barossa grapegrowers and suitably old school Barossan winemaking. The net result is a hearty, worthy, full flavoured of charm and depth.
Iconic wine indeed.

Huon Hooke, The Real Review writes "Deep ruby with a tint of purple and a reserved but complex and highly appealing bouquet of concentrated red fruits including raspberry and red cherry, dried herbs, cedar and the faintest trace of mint among the wild-herb high notes. Delicious wine, concentrated and yet supple and approachable already with fruit sweetness and very fine, supple tannins that provide an ideal foundation for the flavour. Outstanding."
Campbell Mattinson, Halliday's Wine Companion writes "The style is familiar – rich, plum-driven fruit, a toasty element, a creaminess to the texture – but there's a sinewy element to this release, aided and abetted by herb, twig and earth characters. This gives the wine a cooler dynamic, a less-is-more feel. In keeping with that, its best drinking days are likely to be in the medium rather than short or long term."
