FIVE STARS 93/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit - "Excellent weight and silky flow, beautifully supported by fine-grained tannins."
Soft and approachable Hawke's Bay Syrah from the trusted hands of Jason Stent and his Paritua team. This is delicious, medium-bodied syrah with layers of spiced plum and cherry flavours. It's already soft and quite rounded in the mouth, making it very enjoyable in its youth. Another great buy from the excellent Stone Paddock range.

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "This is splendidly fruited and inviting on the nose, showing Black Doris plum, sweet cherry, thyme, and assorted nut aromas. It's succulent and supple in the mouth, delivering excellent weight and silky flow, beautifully supported by fine-grained tannins, making it sturdy yet with a lengthy, smooth finish. At its best: now to 2030."
The winery writes "This Paritua Stone Paddock syrah is a bright food friendly wine. The palate is velvety soft while the finish is firm with fine tannins. An aroma of blueberry and red cherries with spicy, savoury notes and white pepper on the nose. Elegance and fruit flavours of fresh plum and red cherry, hints of black pepper on the palate with a long spicy finish. This wine will benefit from cellaring, drink from now till 2032."
