FIVE STARS 95/100 | Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review
This is a serious bottle in every sense of the word. Paritua’s 2112 is the crown jewel of their portfolio — a masterfully structured flagship blend that reflects the depth and quality of Hawke’s Bay’s best vineyards.
The 2008 vintage leans heavily into its cabernet sauvignon core, delivering more structure, more complexity, and more long-term cellaring appeal than its younger sibling, "Red". Ripe blackcurrant, dark plum and spice build a rich, layered palate, lifted by subtle floral tones and wrapped in fine, drying oak with a nutty edge. There's a tension here — fruit sweetness playing against savoury restraint — that marks this out as a wine of real finesse.
Now beautifully matured but still with time ahead of it, this is New Zealand wine at its absolute pinnacle. Pour it for a celebration or decant it for a quiet evening.

Bob Campbell MW writes "The wine appears to have more Cabernet Sauvignon influence than its younger brother ""Red"" with more power and structure. That translates into ""more class with more cellaring potential"". Appealing fruit sweetness contrasts with drying, nutty oak. An intriguing and very classy wine."
