95/100 | Bob Campbell MW, The Real Review
This is one of New Zealand's finest chardonnays. Palliser Estate will feature in any discussion of New Zealand's pre-eminent wine producers, and the impressive accolades awarded to this sublime offering demonstrate why. Hailing from the 2022 vintage and vinted in an elegant, Burgundian style, this chardonnay is drinking beautifully now but has a solid cellar life ahead of it.
A sure-fire investment for any fine wine enthusiast.

Bob Campbell MW writes "Weighty, textural wine with white peach, grapefruit/citrus, spicy oak, hazelnut and saline/oyster shell flavours. Impressively structured chardonnay a backbone of fine, peppery tannins and bright acidity."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Complex, enticing and familiar with a bouquet of wild orchard fruits, citrus pith and a complex leesy barrel spice combination. Wood smoke and vanilla, some burnt butter and baked cashew nut qualities add complexity and depth. Excellent weight and texture on the palate, flavours of citrus zest and fresh white peaches, apple and barrel spices layer in for complexity and depth. A delicious wine with texture, length and excellent mouthfeel. It’s floral and charming, weighty and varietal."
Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Gloriously complex and sensually appealing, the wine shows grilled stone fruit, citrus peel, brioche, popcorn and cedar characters on the nose, followed by a concentrated palate that's sumptuous and graceful. It's opulent yet properly structured by beautifully pitched acidity, finishing superbly long and engaging."
The winery writes "Sumptuous and mouthfilling, the texture is creamy and mealy, with layers of peaches and creme brûlée giving way to a fresh, white peach acidity and a mouthwatering saline finish. A bold, rich style with power, complexity and length."
