A bouquet of pinosity with a touch of mystery, aromas and flavours of red plums and wild flowers, red cherry and wild flowers, there’s a distinctive crushed stone and saline mineral complexity and layers of barrel spices, subtlety and loads of panache. As the wine opens out on the palate and becomes ambient the flavours of fruits and spices, the sense of place or time begin to unfurl more acutely. An abundance of textured tannins and medium+ acid line set a decent foundation and structure. Complex, youthful, savoury and dried herb layers, fruity, complex and with pinosity. An excellent wine, just beginning to settle in, has a wonderful finish."
