94/100 'Excellent' | Cameron Douglas MS
93/100 | Stephen Wong MW, The Real Review
This is a powerhouse single vineyard wine. Rich and complex with mouthfilling flavours in the stonefruit and lemon butter spectrum, this is a wonderful example of flagship Martinborough Chardonnay. Very impressive.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "A delicious wine with texture and core ripeness, a specific winemaking style showcases the site and region as well as how adept Chardonnay is to these foundation markers as well as winemaker style. Dry with a textured mouthfeel from a saline acid line to fine tannins and phenolics. Lengthy and well made with best drinking from 2025 through 2030+."
Stephen Wong MW writes "Light gold. Sweet cinnamon spice sits over savoury pastry, white pepper and smoke with faint aromas of green apple tightly tucked within. The palate is energetic, built around very tart, saline acidity driving the crisp green apple flavours with a seasoning of hazelnut and oak to lend sweetness. Very good balance: it manages to achieve size without being heavy and the acidity should allow it to age for the mid-term."
The winery writes "The wine is pale gold colour. It is rich and complex with deep, intense spicy and mineral flavours underpinned by tight-grained French oak, barrel fermentation and malolactic fermentation."
