Family-owned and proudly Waipara-based, Pegasus Bay is one of North Canterbury’s benchmark producers. Founded by Ivan Donaldson in 1986 and now run with the next generation, the estate is known for crafting characterful, expressive wines that reflect their unique, cool-climate terroir.
The Muscat 2020 is a rare treat from just a few rows of vines - intensely aromatic and beautifully composed. Layers of apricot, peach and citrus peel are lifted by florals and spice, while a gentle sweetness is balanced by bright acidity. Rich, silky, and lingering, it’s a wine that delivers both opulence and finesse in equal measure.

The winery writes "It has a radiant lemon hue and flaunts luscious aromatics. Richly fruited and enticing, the nose explodes with notes of white fleshed peach, apricot, and lemon curd, underlain with elderflower, linden blossom, honeysuckle, and spicy hints of ginger and nutmeg. Full-bodied on the palate with fruit, alcohol and ripe phenolics all contributing to mouthfeel and flair. Its off dry style is beautifully balanced by crisp acidity, an elegant structure, and a bittersweet touch on the close."
