A refined yet generous blend from the celebrated Gimblett Gravels, the Beach House Merlot Cabernet Franc 2024 is a feast for the senses. Aromas of ripe cassis, cedar, dried herbs, olive, and a delicate floral lift draw you in, hinting at the complexity within.
On the palate, it’s supple and fleshy, delivering excellent weight and intensity without losing its elegance. Rich layers of dense plum, black forest cake, and decadent chocolate coat the mouth, while the fine, grainy tannins provide a confident structure and lingering finish. Crafted to be enjoyed now but built to age gracefully, it will reward careful cellaring well into the late 2020s.

The winery writes "The merlot franc screams black forest cake with loads of dense plums and chocolate. Chilli chocolate and black doris plum flavours. Soft and plush across the palate but with plenty of weight and length, this will pair perfectly with slow-cooked beef cheeks. Will drink nicely well into the 2020s."
