Mystery Ungrafted Barossa Shiraz 2022

ANOTHER INCREDIBLE, SUPER PREMIUM, EXCLUSIVE SHIRAZ MEGADEAL!

FIVE STARS 96/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit - "Sumptuous and plush, displaying outstanding concentration and multi-layered mouthfeel"
95/100 | Ray Jordan - "Impeccable balance"
95/100 | Ken Gargett - "Silky palate with focus and finesse. This is a fifteen year proposition"

This is another exclusive opportunity to purchase top-drawer, super-premium, old vine Barossa Shiraz at what can only be described as a compelling price.

The 2022 vintage in Barossa was heralded as a strong, high quality vintage, producing wines of great concentration, purity and complexity. This sumptuous wine displays all the advantages of a superb growing season and a winemaking team at the top of their game.

Glossy dark red in the glass with aromas of spicy plum and milk chocolate, this is old vine, complex shiraz at its finest. On the palate it is rich, engaging wine with lavish flavours of plums and dark cherry, underpinned by a backbone of intergrated, finely textured tannins. It's powerful and complete - as the 96pt and 95pt reviews attest. Let's just say: it's very clear that this wine was not produced to sell at $39.99.

Clearly, with an opportunity of this magnitude, stocks are strictly limited, and we strongly suggest you secure your personal requirements before telling colleagues, family and friends.

* We don't do this often, but this wine is being sold to you as a 'Mystery deal' to protect the producer's investment in this important wine. When you order, the wine will be delivered to you under its normal label; all will be revealed when it lands at your door.

** Don't be concerned if you aren't familiar with the brand when it arrives. A quick Google will put your mind at rest - and of course you'll be able to ascertain the price that this wine sells for in the Australian market!

Given the contractual nature of this offer we still can't tell you too much about it online. Click HERE to send a quick email to us, and we can tell you so much more on a 'one to one' basis. (That email address will only be monitored during normal business hours.)

Tasting Notes

Sam Kim, Wine Orbit writes "Impressive rich fruit lead the way with toasty oak, vanilla, tapenade and Asian spice nuances, it's sumptuous and plush in the mouth, displaying outstanding concentration and multi-layered mouthfeel. Wonderfully framed by loads of silky tannins, making it brooding and velvety at the same time. At its best: 2026 to 2040." 96pts.

Ray Jordan writes "Has a faint dried herb overlay merging with the savoury plummy fruit characters. A little spicy nuance adds further to the detailed aroma. The palate is more medium weight with impeccable balance while the fruit is laced with fine chalky tannins and complemented by fine-grained subtle oak. The older oak plays a role but does not intrude on the integrity of the fruit. An elegant wine with a savoury finish that makes it such a good wine with food even now." 95pts.

Ken Gargett writes "Deep dense maroon, the nose exhibits notes of spices, cocoa powder, soy, aniseed, tobacco leaves, mocha, chocolate and black fruits. Displaying a silky palate with focus and finesse, the wine has fine balance and a long, lingering finish, with satiny tannins. This is a fifteen year proposition." 95pts.
