FIVE STARS 94/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
93 POINTS | Cameron Douglas MS
A fragrant Pinot Gris with jasmine, almond and pear notes. Another great vintage from this reputable Gisborne vineyard. Don't hesitate.
Sam Kim writes "This is immediately appealing on the nose with Nashi pear, nectarine, fig and lemon peel aromas, followed by a juicy palate that’s beautifully rounded and smooth. It’s bright and delightfully expressed with a lingering delicious finish."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Lush, ripe, varietal and fruity with a core of spicy apple and green pear, quince and white nectarine. Silky texture as the wine touches the palate with fruit and spice flavours to mirror the bouquet, a decent acid line and fine mineral quality. Balanced and well made with great drinking from 2022 through 2028+."
The winery writes "Full-bodied wine with spice, pear, fig and honeysuckle notes. The wine is soft and voluptuous and finishes with a lovely acidity and dry finish."
