FIVE STARS 95/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
93 POINTS | Cameron Douglas MS
There is some seriously impressive Chenin Blanc coming out of Gisborne these days but this one takes the cake. Wonderfully floral with an underlying citrus zesty characters, this wine is sure to please the most discerning of palates. Off dry and truly delectable wine. A massive staff favourite.
Vegetarian and Vegan friendly.
The winery writes "This gorgeous French variety grows well in our Gisborne climate. With citrus, stonefruit and honeysuckle flavours it has a bright acidity and lovely texture."
Sam Kim writes "A stylish rendition of the variety showing Gala apple, green rockmelon, floral and subtle spice notes on the nose. The concentrated palate displays ripe fruit intensity together with silky texture and vibrant acidity, leading to a lengthy refreshing finish."
Cameron Douglas MS writes "Varietal, fresh, mineral and youthful. Scents of baked apple and pear, some white spice, blossom and dry clay mineral qualities. A silky texture on the palate precedes flavours of white fleshed tree fruits, a white clay mineral quality and floral lift. Balanced and well made with plenty of acidity for freshness a nd a core of flavour."
