91/100 | Sam Kim, Wine Orbit
New to Advintage, the La Belle Angèle range is inspired by the early 20th century - the 'roaring 20's'. La Belle Angèle was a carefree and frivolous character of the 20's and these wines are possess the same values as her - elegance and all the charm. The chic art-deco-esque labels are the icing on the cake.
The 2020 gamay noir is a great entry-level, juicy wine that embodies the same values of La Belle Angele herself. The perfect balance of fruity and floral notes make this a great food wine. Best served lightly chilled with lighter meals - think fish, cheeses or pork and you're right on the money.
