SILVER 90/100 | James Halliday
We hadn't tasted a pinot / shiraz blend before, but this softly composed Aussie red was a very pleasant surprise - and it's sure to put a smile on the face of our bargain buyers.
Look for loads of classic pinot flavours in the dark cherry spectrum with some weight and spice from the shiraz component. It's bright, juicy and uncomplicated - which is exactly what wine in the price bracket should be - and a very attractive option when you want something delicious that won't break the bank.
The winery writes "Lifted and expressive with aromas of bright red berried fruits, plums and sweet spice. Classic Pinot Noir flavours of red cherries and mulberries are framed by Shiraz derived spice and fine dusty tannins."
