Founded by Alistair Gardner and Karla Falloon, this small vineyard channels decades of Old World experience into wines that pulse with energy, texture, and place. From the stony terraces of the Ruamahanga River, each hand-harvested wine tells a story of sun-warmed stones, thriving ecosystems, and a deep connection between land and craft.
Straight from the Martinborough gravels, this pinot is dark and savoury. The combination of Dijon and Abel clones brings both structure and tension. Fine tannins frame the wine, while a savoury thread runs through the palate, adding depth without heaviness. There’s a slightly wild edge here that keeps the wine engaging from start to finish. A natural partner for slow-cooked dishes.

Mike Bennie, Halliday Wine Companion writes "A little bronze and ruddy in the glass. Maturity showing its hand in charcuterie, autumn leaves, mushroom and truffle characters with dried cranberry, cinnamon-stewed plums and dark chocolate. Soft texture, a swishy and pleasingly relaxed feel to taste, a long finish with licks of truffle, sweet earthiness and some dried fruit and nut characters. In a good place, but best drunk about now."
