This wine was an all-out attempt by international wine giant Constellation Brands to make the finest possible Hawke's Bay Chardonnay from the excellent 2019 vintage. No stone was left unturned in its production. It was clearly never meant to be retailed for $29.99!!!

Presented for sale with lavish packaging, this is premium barrel-fermented chardonnay in every sense. The heavy weight, tissue-wrapped bottles and lavishly embossed labels certainly create a luxurious impression, and the wine inside totally lives up to the hype. Rich, ripe and golden in the glass, there's plenty of attractive flavours of peaches, cream and lemon. Some flinty / gunsmoke notes adds another luxe element into the mix, along with nutty, brioche characters brining some extra complexity. Plus, it will look incredible on any table.

2019 was a year where every varietal performed to its true potential, and this 2019 chardonnay reaps all the rewards of that  superb vintage.
