TEXTBOOK BANNOCKBURN PINOT NOIR.
QUALITY ALL THE WAY.
95/100 | Stephen Wong MW, The Real Review
Vinted from fruit from a single 3 hectare block in Bannockburn, this is premium pinot noir. Winemaker Steve Davies (formerly at Akarua and Carrick) focuses on organic production and farming to improve soil health and the resulting wine is concentrated and mouthfilling with flavours in the dark berry spectrum. While drinking beautifully now, the real magic here will unfold over the next 4 - 6 years and patience will certainly be rewarded.

Stephen Wong MW, The Real Review writes "An elegant, restrained yet concentrated pinot noir with a long, fine core of raspberry, black cherry and plum elevated with measured complexity from perfumed whole bunch notes of pot pourri and just enough smoky wood to notice. Classically built with some muscular tannins and long, fruit-driven acidity, this has a velvet texture and linear shape which reluctantly unfurls on the finish. Young and yet to relax into itself, this needs another year to reveal its inherent silkiness and perfume, with a decade of positive development to follow."
