94/100 'Excellent' | Cameron Douglas MS
The Dicey operation is the brainchild of brothers James and Matt Dicey who have both played integral roles in the Central Otago wine scene over the years. They certainly know their stuff and have put that to work to create the Dicey range of wines.
Their 2022 Bannockburn Pinot Noir is silky and vibrant, showing pure red berry fruit, fine tannins and fresh acidity, with well-integrated oak adding gentle structure. Dark, savoury pinot with herbal notes and delicate tannins. Drink now or tuck away for a few years.

Cameron Douglas MS writes "Lots of classic Central dried herb and savoury spice led aromas with sage and thyme framing flavours of dark plum and raspberry, dark cherry and smoky wood tones. Mineral, dry, textured and delicious with a generosity of fruit, tension from tannins and acidity and core fruit flavours of dark berries and spice. Best drinking from 2027 through 2033."
