What a deal this is. Excellent repeat excellent Hawke's Bay Pinot Gris from the magic hands of winemaker Daniel Brennan and the Decibel team. The Giunta range produces exciting, modern wines and this 2024 release is right on the money. If this doesn't become one of the most accoladed gris' of the year, we'll eat our hat.
This luxe, charming wine is fruit-forward with ripe flavours of pear and green apples shining on the palate, balanced by zesty acidity and spice to round things out. It shows plenty of varietal character and texture but remains fresh and light on the palate. We can't recommend this gris highly enough - it's a standout.

The winery writes "This Pinot Gris is a well-balanced and fruit-driven wine with a touch of wild complexity. Flavours of fresh pear, apple crumble, and a squeeze of lemon with an aromatic nose of cinnamon, beeswax, baking spice, and jasmine notes. The pallet is a nice tension between crisp zesty acidity and the textural lick of roundness of the finish."
