New from the iconic Church Road in Hawke’s Bay, this merlot was made from a single vineyard and crafted by one winemaker. This wine was made to show off the full potential of site and exemplify what Church Road is all about. A dense, earthy Merlot with good mid-palate richness, firm, but fine-grained tannins and generous, dark berry fruit, plum and cherry.

The winery writes "Subtle floral aromas provide some lift while notes of dark chocolate bring a sense of warmth and luxuriousness on the nose. The palate is full bodied with good mid palate richness, and chunky, ripe tannins with a slight rustic edge."
