An oaked Sauvignon Blanc from the great producers at Church Road. The McDonald series pays tribute to Tom McDonald, a legend and pioneer of Hawke's Bay winemaking. This sauvvy is dry and refreshing - a perfect partner fofr fresh seafood and summer salads.
The winery writes “On the nose, the wine exhibits quince, nectarine and lime with lifted citrus blossom and elderflower notes. This is complimented by subtle creaminess and a mineral-like complexity derived from wild fermentation in French oak. On the palate the wine is medium bodied, finely textured and persistent with a slightly flinty edge."
